Iris family is another most important garden plant. They beautifully appear in rainbow colors like purple, white, yellow, pink and orange. It has about 200 species. In the next when we mention Daffodils then can say that Daffodils has matchless beauty. It has almost 50 species and 13,000 hybrids. If the climate is moderate to them, they are the 1st to bloom in spring season. The paper-white-Daffodils are the common species that is found in mostly outdoor plants.

In addition to these popular flowers, there are some flowers that are beautiful and fragrant, exist in a variety of shapes and colors, but are not very well-known. These are like cherry blossom, Orchids, Peonies, Narcissus, Violets, Gypsophilia, Freesia, Gerberas, Gladiolus, Anemone, Carnations and Rhododendron.

Flowers come in a variety of shapes, colors and fragrance. All of them add beauty to our life. Planting them in gardens satisfy one’s aesthetic sense. Some of the flowers are used to cure physical diseases and fragrances of some of the flowers are helpful in a number of mental diseases. They bloom during spring season. In wedding ceremonies a bride can have handful of roses without any hesitation. It gives more beautiful outlook and its fragrance spreads all over the place giving a fresh sensation.

Tulips:

Tulips appeared widely in 17th century and were originally cultivated in the gardens of Turkish sultans.

They were also known as Ottoman tulips and they had petals with very pointed tips. A virus caused these tulips to break in fascinating patterns and colors.

Tulips were collected across Europe and it had same price as rose. It was rare in market. Tulips were traded in market and at auctions. They were crashed in 1963 but there beauty is still recognized and undimmed.

Sun Flowers:

Sun flowers were first introduced in America in mid 16th century. They were famous because of their height and radiant flowers. They spread rapidly across Europe.

It was called sun flower because it faces the sun and follows the course of sky also applied as daisies that originated from days- eyes.

In America, Incas had made them the symbol of god. In 17th century, Europe came and represented them as the symbol of king.

In 18th century it was banned in the gardens because of their oversize. In 19th century they were popularized and used as the motive for decorative arts.

Lily:

White lilies are considered to be the most ancient cultivated ornamental flowers. They were seen in Cretan wall paintings, Egyptians tombs and Assyrian carvings.

They seem to be very beautiful when they are decorated in baskets and in wedding functions.
